Presenter Guidelines

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS

Visual Response will be managing the presentation and content of accepted abstracts. Dolores O’Sullivan (Visual Response) will contact you in the two weeks prior to the event to discuss your requirements and any concerns you may have. If you have any queries prior to that, do not hesitate to contact Dolores: d.osullivan@visualresponse.com

If your abstract(s) has been accepted as either an Oral or a Poster Presentation, below are instructions for the presenters:

Oral Presentation
8 minute presentation and two minutes for questions and change between each presentation. The Chairs at each session will strictly enforce the time allowed, to ensure the smooth running of the programme and allow for ample time for discussion.

Please send your PowerPoint presentation, at least 24 hours before workshop start date, to Dolores O’Sullivan, d.osullivan@visualresponse.com please send your presentation at least 24 hours before workshop start date. Please also remember to bring a memory stick with a back up of your final presentation.

PLEASE SUPPLY ALL PRESENTATIONS IN POWERPOINT 16 x 9 FORMAT. Notes can be displayed on the comfort monitors if you require. (Please note that we are not able to support Apple Mac formatted presentations).

Posters
Exhibition panels will be available as in previous years.

Posters should be PORTRAIT format of 80cm (width) x 150cm (height).
Your poster board will be identified by abstract number. Velcro and pins will be available.
Posters hang for the duration of the Workshop and are discussed in the oral sessions. You will be asked to stand in front of your poster during one of the two poster sessions. Details will be sent to presenters two weeks before the workshop.

Abstract reference numbers allocated at submission will not be your poster’s final number, so please do not include it on your poster. Poster numbers will be provided on a notice board at the entrance of the poster room and staff from Visual Response will be on hand to help you. An alphabetical list of presenters will also be included in the programme.

QR codes, company, university, and printer logos are permitted on posters; company logos must be no bigger than 6x6cm. If a company has participated in the poster’s scientific writing, this must be acknowledged.

IMPORTANT
Please note that poster presenters will be required to provide their own poster. There will be no facilities to print your poster on site.

In addition, some poster presenters may be asked to provide a brief summary of their poster, as a PowerPoint presentation (2 - 3 slides). If this is the case you will receive separate correspondence from the IWHOD Secretariat two weeks prior to the Workshop.
